William Basinski’s Arcadia series

London series celebrating the legacy of Basinski's legendary Brooklyn club space Arcadia with a solo set by Swans frontman Michael Gira (St John At Hackney Church, 12 March), a screening of Melancholia: The Short Films of James Elaine & William Basinski (Ace Hotel, 14), performances by Paul Prudence, Evelina Domnitch & Dmitry Gelfand (Ace Hotel, 15), Aki Onda, Janek Schaefer (Ace Hotel, 16), Julia Kent (Ace Hotel, 18), Bedroom Community founder Valgeir Sigurðsso with Liam Byrne (Village Underground, 19), longtime collaborators Rhys Chatham and Charlemagne Palestine performing together (St John At Hackney, 20), plus Basinski and Chatham in conversation at Cafe Oto (19 March, 7pm).
